This link https://lincoln.civicweb.net/Documents/DocumentList.aspx?ID=39826 contains a briefing note being presented tonight to The Town of Lincoln Infrastructure Committee (of which I am a member). It spells out the progress so far in the work being undertaken by the Town of Lincoln to remediate that section of Konkle Creek lying between the Fairgrounds and Greenlane Road.
As the note will point out, the creek was straightened years ago to accommodate development further south to deal with storm water and bring it to the lake North of the highway. Straightening the creek was a mistake. The result has been that the banks have eroded significantly as the creek pushes east and west in its attempt to meander (as creeks naturally do).
I will continue to post information on Konkle Creek as the project progresses.
